Quality & Certifications

Quality You Can Trust, From the Vine to Your Market

Quality and food safety are integral to everything we do. From cultivation and harvesting through packing, cold storage and shipment, our processes are managed using a food safety system built on HACCP principles, supported by preventative controls, monitoring, verification and traceability.

Our objective is simple: to deliver safe, fresh, high-quality table grapes that consistently meet customer, regulatory and market requirements.

From Vine to Shipment

Food safety is managed proactively, rather than relying solely on final-product inspection.

01

In the Vineyard

Quality begins long before the grapes enter the packing process. Throughout the growing season our production teams monitor vineyard conditions, crop development and fruit quality. Potential food-safety and quality hazards are identified and controlled as part of our HACCP-based approach.

02

At Harvest

Harvesting is carried out according to defined maturity and quality requirements. Trained harvesting teams handle the grapes carefully to minimise bruising, crushing and other damage. Harvest containers and equipment are maintained in suitable hygienic condition, and personnel follow established hygiene practices. Each harvested lot is identified to maintain full traceability from the vineyard block to the finished product and shipment.

03

HACCP-Based Controls During Packing

Our packing operation is managed according to the principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point. Potential biological, chemical and physical hazards are assessed throughout the process, and preventative controls and monitoring activities are established to reduce food-safety risks to acceptable levels.

04

In-Process Quality Control

Quality control continues throughout the packing process. Our QC team regularly checks product and packaging to ensure compliance with established specifications and customer requirements. Any deviation is identified, assessed and controlled before affected product is released.

05

Final Product Inspection & Release

Before shipment, finished product undergoes a final quality inspection. The inspection verifies that the grapes meet the required quality, food-safety, packaging and labelling requirements. Only product that meets the applicable specifications and release criteria is approved for dispatch.

06

Cold Chain Management

Maintaining the cold chain is essential for preserving table-grape quality and shelf life. Following packing, product is cooled and stored under controlled conditions. Product temperatures and storage conditions are monitored to ensure that the required conditions are maintained, and our cold-chain controls continue through dispatch and loading.

07

Pre-Shipment & Container Checks

Before loading, the shipment is checked against the applicable customer and product requirements.

08

Traceability

Traceability is an essential component of our food-safety and quality system. We maintain the ability to trace product through the supply chain, from vine to customer.

Laboratory Testing

Samples are collected according to defined sampling procedures and submitted to competent, appropriately accredited laboratories for analysis.

Depending on the risk assessment, customer requirements and applicable market requirements, laboratory testing may include:

  • Microbiological testing
  • Water quality testing
  • Pesticide residue testing
  • Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) verification
  • Other chemical or food-safety analyses where required
  • Environmental or hygiene verification testing where applicable

Test results are reviewed by our quality team against the relevant specifications and requirements. Any result outside an applicable limit is investigated and managed through our corrective-action and product-control procedures.

Water Sampling & Testing

Water is an important part of our food-safety risk management programme. Water sources and points of use are identified and assessed according to their potential food-safety risk, and a defined sampling programme is implemented to verify the quality and suitability of water used in agricultural and post-harvest activities.

Water samples are collected using controlled sampling procedures to minimise the risk of contamination and are submitted to an appropriate laboratory for analysis. Testing may include relevant microbiological and chemical parameters, based on the intended use of the water, risk assessment, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

Results are reviewed against the applicable water-quality requirements, and any unsatisfactory result triggers investigation and appropriate corrective action.

MRL Monitoring

Pesticide residue management begins in the vineyard.

Our crop protection programme is managed to ensure that plant protection products are used responsibly and in accordance with approved product labels, application requirements, pre-harvest intervals and applicable legislation.

  1. 01 Approved crop protection products
  2. 02 Controlled applications
  3. 03 Application records
  4. 04 Pre-harvest interval management
  5. 05 Risk-based sampling
  6. 06 Laboratory residue analysis
  7. 07 Results verification
  8. 08 Product release

Residue samples are taken according to a defined risk-based programme and submitted to competent laboratories for multi-residue analysis where appropriate. Laboratory results are assessed against the Maximum Residue Limits applicable to the intended market, including customer-specific requirements where applicable.

Market-Specific Compliance

Because table grapes may be supplied to different international markets, MRL requirements can differ between countries and markets. We therefore consider the requirements applicable to the intended destination market when establishing our residue monitoring programme and reviewing laboratory results.

This approach helps ensure that our grapes are produced and released with consideration of the relevant regulatory and customer requirements.
